UCantLose and BetRiskFree Update

Posted by Aegist on October 16th, 2006

Well after a few emails with Carl from UCantLose (UCL) about the BetRiskFree (BRF) situation I have been told that UCL have chosen to start a partnership with BRF. Basically BRF will continue to use the UCL email alerts but at a slight delay, they will in return continue to use the UCL affiliate links to bookmakers, and over time develop more of their own arbitrage alerts independent of UCL.

Thats good for UCL, but unfortunately doesn’t solve the other problems I listed for BRF. I guess I will have to try harder to get in contact with BRF to motivate action and hopefully see resolution to these problems because outwardly BRF seem to be trying hard to look like a good service, yet these issues which I have discovered certainly can’t be ignored.

BetRiskFree Using UCantLose Arbs?

Posted by Aegist on September 18th, 2006

Anyone who regularly reads any of my reviews or posts in general will know that I tend to avoid saying anything bad about anyone or any program. So it comes with great distress for me to make this post, but there are only so many chances someone can be given before the truth needs to be known in order to stop others being hurt.

So, as a preliminary post on the matter, I am going to report a number of problems that I have found with BetRiskFree which have dissappointed me greatly.

Firstly there was the Personal Experiences Thread for BetRiskFree in our forums at DTM: http://www.dreamteammoney.com/index.php?showtopic=3101&st=0 where several uses reported problems. I attempted to help out and defender BRF because I had spoken with alexander, the owner of BRF a number of times via email. I have always found that simply being able to talk to someone instills much greater confidence in me for that program. So I was a little shocked to hear negatives on this thread, but there they are.

Far worse than that is the fact that Khalak tried out the one month trial for £1. about 5 days before the end of the trial he cancelled their service via their web form (avoiding the monthly £10 recurring fee). Only to find that at the end of the month he was charged anyway and the alerts kept coming. He thought maybe he made a mistake on the form so resubmitted another cancellation form, but nonetheless the arbs kept coming and he was charged for another months subscription. He Used the form AGAIN, EMAILED BRF on the 16th of August and told them that he has already tried to cancel three times previously and that he doesn’t want any more, and nonetheless on the 30th of August he was charged yet again and the alerts kept coming.

When I found out about this, I emailed alexander myself on the 6th of September, expecting to be able to get a response from him. I have not heard back from him since then (two weeks now). The arbs are still coming and Khalak is about to put a blockage on all charges from BRF at his bank account since no amount of requesting to BRF seems to stop them charging him.

Thirdly there is the issue of where BRF’s alerts are coming from. Another SAG user mentioned in one of our emails that BRF’s alerts seem all be identical to UCantLose’s alerts only a minute or two later. He made the comment flipantly, but when I looked at one of the email alerts from BRF it is blatently apparent that they are using UCantLose’s alerts. How was it apparent? The links BRF provided to the bookmakers actually used the affiliate links from UCantLose!

I asked Carl from UCantLose about this and he said he would investigate because the UCantLose alerts were provided by their own software which no one else has access to, and hence are unique. I haven’t heard back from Carl yet.

And now?

That is all of the information I have at the moment. I am waiting for some sort of reply from alexander at BRF still and awaiting word from Carl at UCantLose. In the meantime I recommend everyone avoid BetRiskFree until more information becomes available.

Bet Risk Free Trial Competition

Posted by Aegist on June 7th, 2006

Bet Risk Free have just started what is probably the best promotion available in the arbing community at the moment. While still offering their £1 for 1 month trial, they have just added a competition to win a full years subscription which you gain entry into for taking out one of their trials.

So, for £1, you get 1 month full service from BetRiskFree (they have just added SMS alerts too) and the chance to win a years subscription for free.

BetRiskFree 1 month trial.

Bet Risk Free Update

Posted by Aegist on May 26th, 2006

Well, we have started our one month £1 trial with BetRiskFree. With something over 20 arbs a month, I don’t expect to be here updating every day telling you how its going, I will just try to keep track of the arbs as we go, and I will update once a week or something to give you an idea of what the quality is like, how long they lasted etc. If we get one arb out of it, then its worth it. 1 months subscription for £1 is pretty sweet.

Since I posted the BRF description the other day and posted my first post here I have received my reply from the owner of the program with a little more information and some feedback. He says:

“I know that there are other sites that offer 4000 arbs per month etc however as the old adage goes “quality is better than quantity”. We could, easily, send out this many arbs as this however we check all our arbs before mailing to ensure they can
a) deliver a decent return. Most arbs that occur are in the 0.6% return region. These happen hundreds of times per day. We only send arbs which are over 1% but usually around the 4% mark.

b) exists when the email is sent. Another thing with arbitrages is that they sometimes exists for a very small period of time (sometimes seconds) Fully Automated services do not check that an arb is live for long, they just mail you. This means that you can never be sure of the quality of the arb in terms of longevity

c) we try to only deal in arbs which exist using 1X2 or 12. Unless it yields very high returns, we do not send out moneyline arbs, handicap arbs, half time arbs, over under or anything else too complicated, to ensure that normal, non gambling experts can take advantage

and finally

d) we also check to ensure that the arb matures quickly. This stops members having their stake tied up in an arb which may take two weeks to mature and therefore pay.

What we try to offer is a professionally developed system of arbitrage modified to meet the needs of a non-gambling expert. Hence 20 arbs per month.”

I look forward to my first arb! =)

Bet Risk Free Alert Service

Posted by Aegist on May 23rd, 2006

I have just added another new alert service to the Alert services page called Bet Risk Free. Another Email based program, it doesn’t promise many arbs, but then it doesn’t cost much either. With a one month trial for £1, and then an ongoing subscription of only £10, it would be hard to not cover your costs with the trading. I think anyone who is already trading should take the risk and cough up £1…see how it goes. What have you got to lose?

Of course I wouldn’t say that if I wasn’t going to do it myself, so in the not to distant future I will be taking the one month trial, and, of course, I will be reviewing how it performs all right here and in the Dream Team forums for everyone to participate with.

In the meantime though I have just added the generic review of the program to the alert services page, and a banner on my arbitrage links page. My impression from the site is that they have done their best to make a very professional looking website. They don’t make any ridicules claims but instead offer a very simple down to earth service (guaranteeing a minimum of 20 per month seems quite quaint to me when so many services find between 1000 and 30,000 or more a month.) I have spoken to ‘Alexander’ by email who I can only assume is the owner of the service, but he hasn’t revealed any more information about the service. With only a minimum of 20 per month I am forced to assume it is a human driven service, but their website refers to their ‘powerful system’, and their ’secret mathematical formula’, which I guess doesn’t contradict a human driven finding service. It just makes it sound more extravagent than I suspect it is. Not that that matters, as long as they find the arbs and send them out and the arbs are valid for long enough to be bet upon, then it is well worth it. Who cares how they are found?

Anyway, I am sure there will be more information on BetRiskFree in the coming month…
