A few more updates on several Alert Services

I have spoken to Nickel Vacuum and confirmed that their service is now offline permanently. As such I have moved it into the extinct services category.

ArbExpert have previously contacted me and informed me that they have added FonBet and Matchbook to their service, and have updated their calculator to reflect the changes in Betfair and BetDAQ commission rates. This was all done very promptly after Betfair removed their flat 1% fee, and it is good to see such attention to detail in an alert service. The SureBetBookies database has also been updated to reflect changes in their bookmaker list.

ArbitragePro are announcing that they will be increasing their fees by 10% at the beginning of November. Their monthly subscription will now cost £154 while 3 months will cost £415. Their part time plans of 20 hours and 65 hours will cost £22 and £65 respectively.

Zero Risk Arbitrage have also indicated that they have some changes in the wind, but nothing solid to be announced yet.

SportsPunter, as ever, has added several new improvements to their service in the past few weeks. One improvement allows users to set upper and lower limits on their arbitrage filter and audible alerts, and set those limits specifically to 3 way and 2 way arbs. Another is a tweak in the comparison between 2 way odds and 3 way odds for golf, rugby union, handball and futsal, so that 3 way odds will not be mixed with 2 way odds in error, while the ‘Home Asian - Draw - Away’ arbs will now work for these sports. It also factors in the ‘dead heat rule’ for draws in those 2 way markets.

ArbitragePro Trial Review

This arbitrage service provider claims to provide a service ‘designed for the professional arber in mind.’ Boy do they deliver on that promise. This service is easily the most professional service that I have seen so far. The website interface is smooth, professional, and so well built that it makes you wonder why the rest of the websites on the internet aren’t this good. Clearly the interface was written by a very skilled programmer.

Of course we aren’t looking for services that are just skillfully crafted, I know that, so lets get to all of the wonderful content/options this skillful website crafter has put into this service.

First of all, there are a lot of arbs. Here is a screenshot I took with most of the filters turned off.

It shows arbs available for all bookmakers, ranging between 0% and 25% for all sports. They clearly seperate each event, and when they report how many arbs they have found each month, each event counts as one arb, not one arb for each bookmaker combination as reported by many other services.
The huge list on the right is summarised on the left with all of the events listed with the highest trade possible being shown. When new ones are found, a very simple audible alert sounds and it pops up on the left hand side list so you can easily find it. which as you can see shows you all of the details about the arb, including the date of the event and all bookmakers who offer odds on the arb, providing you with recourse if you miss one half of the arb or something goes wrong. There is a little button with the picture of a calculator on it, and when you press it, it pops up with pre-rounded figures telling you what you should be on each side. You find out almost instantly how much you should place either side. Brilliant!

You have your display, alert and maximum displayed arb filters. You can filter on date of event, do you dont get stuck with an arb which isn’t acted on for a month or anything silly like that. And you can filter odds which are more than 25% over market average so as to reduce the chance of palpable/obvious errors.

Then there is the ‘rules’ filter. All of their arbs are already filtered to ONLY show matched rules. You have to choose which mismatched rules you will allow through. So in this screenshot, I have chosen to allow tennis matches which are one rule apart be matched together. Just as an example (although I made an error with T1 and T2, I think you want to match T2 and T3, T3 and T4, and T4 and T1). Anyway, their rules filter is remarkable. I am sure there was a lot of work put into setting that sort of database up so that such a system could work.

Of course there is also the bookmaker filter, and the sport filter, so you can be given arbs only from your chosen bookmakers and sports.

This image shows another neat feature of this arb service. Instead of only being able to see all arbs, you can actually look at all of the upcoming events and see the best odds on those events. Choose your sport, and see the best odds on any game at any time. This could be really useful if you fancy yourself as a real sports fanatic. If you know a lot about a tournament or like to watch odds on a particular psort or something, you could use this to predict where arbs come from. I seriously recommend avoiding this for all novices, but I know some people do ’speculate’ on arbs.

They are all of the screenshots I took of Arbitrage Pro. Unfortunately I only have a standard 2 day trial, and I have been ridiculusly busy over the past two days, so I didn’t get much of a chance to really sit and watch the arbs that it produces (so no real feedback on error rates, duration of arbs etc). Maybe the kind people at arbitrage pro will provide me with another trial in the future Or maybe I will have to subscribe. So many services, so little money!

They also include a help section, within which they have a text explanation of the Hockey rules of every bookmaker they use. It seems that hockey rules tend to be individual from bookmaker to bookmaker, so while ArbitragePro have attempted to catgeorise and filter mismatched rules, it is important for you to understand which rules are being used by your bookmakers exactly so you can be sure.
Once again, they seem to have gone to a lot of trouble to colelct this information. Very impressive.
