Ok, what a month. This is the month where the cosmic arbing gods balanced our losses from early in our career. I don’t know what happened really, but this month seemed to be full of errors (3 to be exact), and two of those paid off really well. One won us like $140, the second was a brilliant middle which should have paid out over $800, but expekt cancelled (After they accepted the larger bet!!!!!! There is a lesson there) so we ended up just getting lucky that we still won and made around $300. Then on the last night of October we copped our first Tennis rules mismatch loss. Pinnacle canceled when Chela retired, and Ladbrokes took their money leaving us with an $80 (luckily) loss.
Anyway, looking forward to the months coming. Lets see if we can normalise our profits a bit more, but maintain something near 10% a month profit. That is the goal, and I do believe it is possible.

August, Month 6
Opening Balance = $3,186.93

Number of Trades = 12
Profit = $181.74, 5.70%
Closing Balance = $3,368.67
Logged Time = Very Minimal
As a first installment for the “Monthly” summaries, this is clearly a low percentage. The reason for the low return is the 20 days or so of not trading due to internet upgrading and sorting out network issues. So looking at our trading log, we have a trade on 3 August, then the next trade is on the 20th August, clearly not a normal month. Virtually all of the profit this month came from the last 10 days of the month. One of the arbs was actually cancelled, so in the end there were only 11 profitable trades.
Further Stats:
Favourites won 9 of 11 arbs
Average arb percentage = 1.62%
Average Profit actually taken = 1.80%
Average Trade amount = $504
%Profit Per month average = 5.70%
Profit per month average = $181.74

OK, I have decided that it is terribly bad form for me to just stop updating this log, and that I need to fix that. I haven’t stopped trading or anything like that, I just stopped spending the time every sunday to balance my books, calculate my returns my percentages, my progressive percentages and write up a report on the weeks trading. It seems I spent more time reporting my trading for the week than I actually spent making the trades!!!
So I got lazy and just stopped suddenly. Well, that isn’t the best option so I have decided to commit myself to a monthly review. Our bankroll is currently $3351.56, which has clearly increased since the last report and . I won’t go through all the trouble of reporting in at the moment, although I will ensure that I go to the trouble on the evening of the 1st of every month. This coming September 1 I will do a report to cover all that has happened since my last one, then after that it will be monthly thereby providing a good profits per month summary.
Theoretically my ‘temporary’ job will be finishing in a few weeks and I might be able to dedicate myself to making more changes on SAG and SBB finally, but this job has an unfortunate tendency to keep extending itself :p And well, money is money and this job pays pretty well
But it is hard to dedicate time to working full time, maintaining this blog, updating 2 websites, maintaining my new blog (Quick plug, check out Researched Opinion), having a social life, keeping any form of personal relaxation time and trading arbs in between it all =) So i hope all of my readers will forgive me for not always being punctual with the blog entries and the website updates. (And I think I owe CJ a few hours of dedicated Vitegrity testing and a thorough review of how it works on SAG sometime in the near future!)

I was very busy, lazy, and sick this week. So the complete lack of action is mostly my own fault, althought the time I did have SBP running, there didn't seem to be anything happening. Astute watchers will probably also notice that I am posting this report almost a week late...thats also part of the busy/lazy thing... Sorry about that, but sometime you just can't stay on top of everything, and sometimes you just really want to walk away from a task you know you have to do. Admittedly, that is one of the attractions with Arb Trading I guess... You aren't being controlled by anyone else...
See ya in a day or two with this weeks results.
