The latest addition to the Sports Arbitrage Guide’s alert services page is, ironically, Sports-Arbitrage.com. I say it is ironic because Sports Arbitrage could possibly be one of the earliest alert services that was available online by looking at the site and the other information available online. I have made Sports-Arbtirage and Risk Free Bets into a single alert service because they provide the same email based alert service, just with a different method of payment (one is pay per arb, the other is pay per month.) Their expired arb database indicates that they get between 0 and 5 arbs per day, with an average maybe around 2 per day as far as I can tell. They are also selling another version of the WinRiskFree software (i think).
From my vast experiences surfing around the ’sports arbitrage’ internet sphere (following every link I can find and searching every search engine I can find for variations on that phrase) it is made quite clear to me that www.sports-arbitrage.com is well entrenched in the Sports Arbitrage-o-sphere. No doubt this is due in large part to its startling obvious domain name, but I am confident it is also due to its age. Its website indicates that it once had forums, but due to spam the forums had been closed and instead you should use the www.arbbest.com forums… which themselves haven’t existed, as far as I can tell, almost 1 year now (guess based on this thread at arbforum.co.uk). This long term survival of Sports-Arbitrage brings me to the real issue: Does anyone live at Sports-Arbitrage anymore???
I have attempted to contact them on at least 2 seperate occasions now and heard absolutely nothing from them. The ancient nature of the ‘use the active arbbest forums’ link indicates that they haven’t updated their website for a very long time. Clearly their expired arb database stil updates, so I guess their alert service still works, which implies that something is going on, but this could all be part of a well set up automated process. I am very interested in hearing from anyone who subscribes to their service. What are their arbs like? Do you make money from them? etc…
I may subscribe to their pay per arb service in the future if no one helps me out, just to see how it goes. I figure a couple of days wouldn’t cost more than $10 or so, so it can’t hurt.
BTW, if you are thinking about subscribing to any of their services, do the maths on the monthyl subscription vs pay per arb service. My very quick maths and a quick browse through their expired arb database tell me that pay per arb is much better value than pay per month. But I haven’t checked that.
