Still unsure what to think about SATMarkets

Posted by Aegist on May 22nd, 2006

SATMarkets (Sports Arbitrage Trader Markets) is another client/server downloadable software program which finds arbs for you. The bookmaker list is identical to the SBP and GotoBets list (over 80 bookmakers), and the sports are the same as well. The interface is almost identical to SBP and GotoBets also, but with a different skin. Their website only has the option to register, so I registered (free) and was instantly able to 1. Buy units in their trading pool, 2. Refer people to their program and earn money for each subscription, 3. pay for their monthly subscription. Unlike SBP, (as far as I can see) you don’t need to be subscribed in order to buy into their pool, and their pool involves three levels of subscription. Each pool costs $25 per unit and you can buy up to 1000 units in their pool ($25,000 worth). Considerable more than SBP. All three of their investment options are 12 month investments. I would not recommend buying into this pool until I can get some information on why there are 3 almost identical products being sold at different prices by different companies.

I emailed SATMarkets over a week ago now, and still have received no reply. I will try again now and see if they reply this time, and this time I will be much more forceful. Since my last email I have been speaking with the RFPSupport Manager about this and he has passed it on to the upper RFP management. I think if SATMarkets don’t get into gear and actually represent themselves it could be very bad publicity…or then again, my suspicions could be right and they could be stealing RFP feeds in the first place in which case speaking out wouldn’t help them out anyway.

I hope to get some form of resolution on this topic some time soon.
