Pinnacle Sports Create Banner for SAG!
It is no secret that Pinnacle Sports is the number one sportsbook for arbitrage traders. It is generally believed that they never limit arb traders, never close accounts, and accept all bets that their system will let you place. But there is always that element of doubt isn’t there? So many bookmakers do limit arb traders, why risk showing yourself to Pinnacle? Well I brought this up with a manager at Pinnacle Sports recently, and their response was to create a brand new banner for me to use when advertising Pinnacle Sports on Sports Arbitrage Guide from now on…
There it is. Straight from the horses mouth – Pinnacle won’t limit you. They will not close your account. You can out and out say “I’m here to take your best lines, to arb them against other sportsbooks, or even to place bets on every outcome available at Pinnacle alone!” and your account will be the same as everyone elses. I am sure I am not the only person who has started placing an arb only to have the second bookmaker close down their odds before you could place them. Forced to find the next best odds available for that second bet, inevitably finding Pinnacle offering them – even when the first bookmaker was Pinnacle as well! The point here, is that you can place that bet, and never fear that Pinnacle will identify you and punish you for doing that. It is OK!
What I have trouble understanding though, is why Pinnacle seems to be the only bookmaker which truely allows its players to take whatever odds they offer. I mean, why do so many books out there offer odds, and then punish their players for having the audacity to actually place bets on those odds?!?!? Weird.

A senior Pinnacle trader has contradicted the manager you spoke to…He claims that they have limited players albeit on rare occasions…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2HYlWLwuZM
“We have on very very rare occasions limited or thrown out a player because they’ve done something a little shadey…If an account is doing something tricky, shadey…betting bad lines…surely we’re gonna take some sort of action”

While ‘technically’ that contradicts the claim above that they ‘never’ ban players, in spirit there is no real contradiction there. Basically Pinnacle will ‘Never Limit’ real players. But if you are doing something illegal, or genuinely unethical – then of course they will kick you out.
What really matters from our perspective though, is that they will never limit or ban anyone for betting on their best lines. They won’t limit or ban arbitrage traders just because they are arb traders.
Thanks for the video link.

Perhaps – however it surprised me when he mentioned “betting bad lines” as one of the possible reasons for “taking action” against a player.
An arber is constantly looking to take advantage of bad lines on Pinnacle.

No, he means palps. Pinnacle is a sharp book – they only set ‘good lines’, or they accidentallly make ‘obvious errors’, which are bad lines. If you only place bets on the palps, then they might get pissed and evnetually ban you if you keep it up after a warning. But in general, arbers are good at avoiding palps because it isn’t in our interest to bet on them.
Besides, if you listen closely to what he said, he even said that they generally give people a warning and the benefit of the doubt. They don’t just kill accounts willy-nilly.

Yeah I agree, if he just means palps then it’s all good.
