Before anything else we set up E-wallet accounts in Neteller and Moneybookers and fund those accounts. While those funds clear we start researching freebet and bonus terms and conditions at the various bookmakers we might use. We also use this time to trial some alert services, and perhaps pick the one you want to use.
Immediately sign up with the sportsbooks which offer no form of bonus, and start paper trading with them. We identify the best freebet offers and take advantage of them, registering at those sportsbooks and meeting the necessary requirements in order to get the freebet, then arbing them out in a way which guarantees profit.
We continue paper trading, and now low volume trades $25 bets, $50 bets etc, slowly building up to a higher level of confidence as you go. As we continue improving our own confidence, we continue adding new sportsbooks according to their freebet and bonus offers. Each offer you find which sounds reasonable, register at that book, deposit the appropriate amount to get a good value bonus/freebet, then arb the bonus/freebet out.
This could continue for weeks or months before you work through every sportsbook in your alert service which offers bonuses and freebets, and by that point you should be a reasonably confident arb trader as well as the owner of a significantly larger bankroll.
At this point we will want to pull back from all of the less than desirable sportsbooks – and books which have low ratings, or which hardly ever produce arbs, or have bad fees associated with them etc. And start to focus our attention on the few really powerful arbing sportsbooks.
Having got a handle on placing arbs, and narrowed down on the power sportsbooks we focus our attention on liquidity of our bankroll. We find a comfortable method of ensuring funds are always available at the right bookmaker at the right time to place all of the good arbs.
